Centauri Communications utilizes BGP routing with our own AS 19214. Centauri purchases IP Transit from a variety of Tier 1, Internet service provider's backbones. With this in mind Centauri is capable of providing the unique diverse routing across multiple carriers along with our own backbone and network equipment to multiple geographic areas that Centauri has points of presence. If your company needs 99.99 of uptime to the global internet look no further.
Centauri manages all inbound / outbound traffic across these backbones and private / public peering on the Internet Exchanges, ensuring efficient routing to your network. Centauri Communications BGP AS is network wide unique so one single AS represents our network to the world.
Since no single Internet entity can claim the entire 4 billion IPv4 address space the more direct connectivity you have via paid transit / private peering / public peering to the global Internet will enable lower latency and router hops to your destination.
Here are a few of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 providers backbones network maps that Centauri Communications utilizes for IP bandwidth.
Bandcon, For presence wide coverage see the following IP Network Map
BandCon also provides options when it comes to IP transit service. Equipped with our very own IP backbone, BandCon offers its own IP Transit service that is fully integrated with our other service offerings.
